Fears Rise Over Growing Number of STD Infections

Health Department Executives are concerned over newly released reports that signify an increase in the volume of STD infections being reported. While the increase may not seem to be worrying to some, any escalation in the number of reported instances is always coupled with a surge in unreported transmissions. While a primary concern was once a lack of readily available herpes testing, that is no longer the case with the escalating number of ways that individuals can obtain std testing in Irvine. Both the state and local health departments have attempted to make inexpensive testing available to people of all income levels, and confidential testing providers have also been a good source for confidential STD testing services. “Right now there seems to be a presupposition that if you’re not showing any signs or symptoms, then you are not infected.” stated one area official. “However, any medical professional will advise you that a majority of STDs display little to no symptoms, while the chance of spreading is just the same.” The only way to curtail this rapid growth is for all at risk people to access regular STD testing for all major infections. If you think you might be at risk, or simply just don’t know, the preferred step is to contact your local health department or search online for “STD testing services” in order to identify a local medical laboratory that can assess your level of risk.
